Quick guides

The whole journey in four short guides

How to register

It takes about a minute, and there is no password to remember.

  1. Choose “Start Learning”. It is at the top of every page, and opens the registration form.
  2. Say who the account is for. “Just me” if you are the learner, “My children” if you are a parent, or “My students” if you are a teacher or lecturer.
  3. Enter your mobile number and the learner’s name. Pick your country code — India (+91) is the default, and any other code works too. Write each name as it should be printed on the certificate. Email, age and gender are optional.
  4. Start level 1. Next time, just log in with the same mobile number and country code — your progress will be waiting.

Families & classes

One number, several learners

A parent can keep the whole family on one mobile number, and a teacher or lecturer a whole class. Every learner still has their own pass, progress, notes and certificate.

  1. Register as a family or a class. Choose “My children” or “My students”, then type each learner’s name and press Enter for the next one.
  2. “Who’s learning today?” After you sign in, tap the learner who is studying now. Their levels and notes open — nobody else’s.
  3. Switch learners any time. Tap the avatar at the top of the learner portal and choose another name. Add, edit or remove learners in Me → Account & learners.
  4. Join a class with a code. Your teacher shares a short code such as NOOR42. Enter it in Me → Account & learners → Join a class, or open the link they send and register — the code is filled in for you.

Getting started

What is Aayaatul Quran?

Aayaatul Quran is a free Quran-learning programme for youth and young adults. It is part of the ‘Aayaatul Quran’ project and combines a printed book with online learning.

The book presents 501 ayahs — one on each page, in Arabic with its meaning and reference. Online, the same pages are grouped into 50 levels, each with a short quiz.

Who is it for?

It is written for college students and anyone from about 17 upwards who wants to understand the Quran as guidance for everyday life. You do not need any previous study — only the wish to read, understand and reflect.

Does it cost anything?

No. Learning, the quizzes and the certificate are all free.

Do I need the printed book?

No. Every page of the book is inside the online reader, so you can study entirely on your phone or computer. Many learners enjoy reading the printed book and answering the quizzes online.

Can I try it before registering?

Yes. Choose “Try Level 1 as a guest”. You can read and take quizzes as a guest, but your progress is not saved — it is lost when you close or reload the page. Register or log in to keep your progress.

Levels and quizzes

How does a level work?

Each level has 10 pages of study material — one ayah per page — and a quiz of 3 questions. The last level has 11 pages. Read all pages to unlock the quiz: it opens once you reach the last page of the level.

What do I need to pass a quiz?

All 3 answers must be correct. When you pass, the next ayah level unlocks and your ticket for the level is punched on your pass.

What happens if I answer something wrong?

You see which of your answers were not correct, but the right answer is not revealed. Go back through the level’s pages, then take the quiz again — you can try as many times as you need.

Can I skip ahead to a later level?

No. Levels unlock strictly in order: level 2 opens when you pass level 1, level 3 when you pass level 2, and so on up to level 50. You can always go back and reread any level you have already completed.

What is the learner pass?

It is your progress at a glance: one pass from Al-Fatihah to Al-Ikhlas, with a ticket for each of the 50 levels. Every level you complete is punched, every tenth earns a stamp, and when all 50 are punched you are boarded: your certificate is ready.

Your account

How do I sign in?

With your mobile number and country code (India, +91, is the default; any other country code works too). There is no password to remember. If the team switches on sign-in codes, we also send a short code to your number to confirm it is you.

Is my progress saved?

Yes — when you are signed in, every page and every level is saved to your account in the cloud, so you can continue on another phone or computer. It stays safely stored when you sign out.

Can a family or a class share one number?

Yes. When you register, choose “My children (I’m a parent)” or “My students (I’m a teacher or lecturer)” and add each learner. Everyone on the number has their own progress, notes and certificate. When you sign in, “Who’s learning today?” asks who is studying, and you can switch learners any time from the menu at the top.

How do I join a class?

Ask your teacher or lecturer for the class code (six letters and numbers). Enter it in Me → Account & learners → Join a class, or open the link your teacher shares and register — the code is filled in for you.

I made a mistake in my name. Can I change it?

Yes. Open Me → My details in the learner portal to edit your name, email, age or gender. Your name is printed on the certificate exactly as it appears there, in capital letters.

How do I delete my account?

Open Me → Delete account in the learner portal, or use the Delete Account page on the website. This removes the account and every learner on that mobile number from Aayaatul Quran only — our sister programmes keep their own, separate accounts. Requests are processed within 30 days.

Friends

How do I add a friend?

Open Friends in the learner portal. Each learner has a personal friend code of six letters and numbers. Share yours — or the invite link beside it — with a friend, and type their code under “Add a friend”. When they accept, you can see each other’s journey and send a short cheer to keep going. Requests can be declined, and a friend can be removed or blocked at any time.

What can my friends see?

Only your first name with the initial of your surname, and — while “Share my progress” is on — your levels and pages completed, your streak, the days you studied this week and whether your certificate is ready. They never see your mobile number, email, notes or quiz answers. Switch sharing off in Friends at any time, or get a new code so the old one stops working.

Certificate

How do I get the certificate?

Complete all 50 levels while signed in. Your certificate then shows your name and a certificate number (for example AQ-001), and you can choose “Download Certificate (PDF)”.

How can someone check a certificate?

Anyone can check an Aayaatul Quran certificate on the Certificate check page (aayaatulquran.com/verify). Type the number printed beside the logo, for example AQ-008. The page shows whether it is genuine, with the first name and the initial of the surname only.

Can a guest get a certificate?

No — a certificate needs a registered, signed-in learner so it can carry your name and a number that belongs to you.

The project

Who is behind Aayaatul Quran?

Aayaatul Quran is part of the ‘Aayaatul Quran’ project by CharacterBee, alongside Flowers of Quran for young children and Pearls of Quran for teenagers. Each programme is its own website with its own, separate accounts.

How can I help?

We invite volunteers to help deliver the book to students, and we welcome sponsors and supporters to help spread the message of the Quran. Write to us from the Contact page.

Is there a mobile app?

The Aayaatul Quran app is coming soon on the Google Play Store. Until then the website works beautifully on any phone.
